Eyal Klement is a professor of epidemiology in the Koret School of Veterinary Medicine in the Hebrew University in Israel. His research is primarily focused on exploring the epidemiology of communicable diseases, both in animals and in humans. His publication record, consisting of over 100 articles, encompasses various studies, primarily centred on disease spread and the assessment of risk factors and vaccine effectiveness for various diseases. Over ten years, Professor Klement has served as a consultant to the European Food Security Agency (EFSA) on the spread of infectious diseases, mainly Lumpy Skin Disease. Additionally, he is the founder of the Master's program of Veterinary Public Health (MVPH) at the Hebrew University, where he teaches two epidemiology courses, one specifically tailored to the epidemiology of infectious diseases.
